Week 1 24/10/2009, Code of Conduct / Rules
Outline: Provide players with an overview of Midnight Basketball, how it runs, 'no workshop, no jumpshot', general housekeeping, rules Players to have a good understanding of the Program (the workshop component, basketball, dinner and transport), the people involved (volunteers, tournament manager, youth worker) and to come up with their own rules / code of conduct to take ownership

Week 2, 1/10/2009,  Team Building
Outline: Players to learn the importance of team work.  Get to know each other.  Come up with team name. Team work.  Teams to agree upon a name, create team flags by working together as a team

Week 3, 7/11/2009, Drug / Alcohol
Outline: Players to obtain an understanding of various substances and the effect that they can have on the body Workshop presentation giving young people practical knowledge and examples of substance use/abuse of various drugs and alcohol

Week 4, 14/11/2009, Nutrition
Outline: Provide players with information regarding the nutrition value of natural and fast foods. Takeaway food - making healthier choices, awareness of fat and sugar content of takeaway foods, reading food labels - making a healthy choice.

Week 5, 21/11/2009, HIV / Aids
Outline: Education sessions providing information as to communicable diseases and methods of prevention. Increase awareness and knowledge around HIV / Aids and inform of existence in our community

Week 6, 28/11/2009, Decision making
Outline: Young people are briefed by professional basketball players on working towards goals. Provision of information sessions regarding decision making and consequences as a result.  Goal setting.

Week 7, 5/12/2009, Crime Prevention
Outline: Education regarding safe communities. Provide players with information about the importance of creating a safe community and awareness.

Week 8, Grand Final Night, 12/12/2009,
Player Evaluation/Questionnaire
Outline: All players to complete questionnaire provided by Midnight Basketball Australia for independent evaluation by CIRCA Research for final tournament report.
